Why We Still Send Memes

If we’re arguing on WhatsApp, that does NOT mean you should stop sending me reels on TikTok and Instagram. Like, why are we acting like our beef has to exist across all platforms? WhatsApp is for fighting. Instagram is for laughing. Keep them separate!

I mean, come on, do you really think I’m gonna hold a grudge against you on every single app? That’s way too much work. Imagine me blocking you on WhatsApp, unfollowing you on Instagram, removing you from my Snap, and then pretending like you don’t exist on TikTok. That’s a full-time job, and I’m not applying for that position.

Let me tell you about this one time I learned this the hard way.

I had an argument with my friend — let’s call him Mark — over something ridiculous. I think it was about who was supposed to buy food last time. The argument got heated. He was typing in ALL CAPS. I was replying with passive-aggressive “K.” We were in full-on war mode.

Then, 10 minutes later, I came across the funniest meme that perfectly summed up our argument. I was dying. I wanted to send it to him SO BAD. But then I thought, “Wait… we’re fighting. Can I send this?”

So I hesitated. Should I stay mad? Or should I break the silence with a meme?

Well, I sent it.
