I used to be an overthinking person!
According to my research, Overthinking is overthinking everything negatively in a problem that has already happened or is about to happen. This syndrome is divided into two types: Ruminating (Reminiscing) and Worrying (Worrying about the future).
Ruminating overthinking is when a problem has come to fruition, but we are still distracted and thinking about it. Worrying overthinking is when an event is about to happen, then start jumping to dozens of bad situations that can appear.
Most of us have experienced overthinking at least once in our lives. However, the amount of detail can keep us from realizing we’ve been in this state.
When I fall into that state, I constantly evaluate and feel unhappy and miserable with the thoughts that I currently have. The mind revolves around the same problems repeatedly that interfere with our lives.
Overthinking is often divided into two branches: thinking about the past or worrying about the future. When you overthink, you tend to feel stuck and need help to solve problems thoroughly. In fact, according to psychotherapist Jessica Foley, “Overthinking is not always bad.”
