Many people have trouble sleeping at night because they worry about the future and what will happen to them next year, the next decade, or even their whole lives in the future. Here are some pointers on how to stop worrying about problems you don’t even have yet!
Imposter Syndrome
In a survey of high achievers, two-thirds felt like imposters and almost half were afraid of being exposed as frauds.
People with imposter syndrome believe that their success is accidental and due to luck, or even sabotage by someone else (they are often more jealous of others’ success than proud of their own), that they’ll be found out for who they really are (fraudulent), and that there is a finite amount of success to go around. In short, it’s an irrational fear that you don’t deserve what you have.
Those fears hold us back from being our best selves, they rob us of opportunities in business, school, relationships, and even at work. But what if we could change how we feel about ourselves?
The Paralysis of Analysis
We’re faced with so many choices today that we’re making ourselves sick. Being overwhelmed is no fun, but worse than not taking action is wasting time and energy worrying about problems that may never happen.
