For example, we find ourselves in a situation that triggers us and we believe it is the situation that causes us to feel the negative emotions we’re experiencing and not our thoughts and beliefs about the situation.
It can be shocking to realize our emotions come from our own thoughts when someone calls you a name or yells at you, but it’s always true.
