Worrying has become a part of our daily lives, yet very few of us seem to realize it.

We worry about every little thing from how we did on the presentation at work to whether or not our parents are safe while they are away on their vacation.

While it’s true that we can’t prevent all bad things from happening, we can significantly reduce the amount of time and effort spent worrying by becoming aware of it, making a conscious decision to stop worrying, and finding better ways to deal with stress.

When do you think Overactive Mind comes to mind?

For most people, a typical overactive mind would involve worrying, checking tasks off of lists, replaying past events in your head or running through what you have to do in the future.

An overactive mind is just another way to describe excessive thinking. Excessive thinking is often caused by anxiety or stress that prevents you from feeling at ease. Sometimes even being overly aware and self-critical causes us to experience an overactive mind.
