The answer is simple. Happiness is a choice.
Many of us feel that any attempt to control happiness must be futile, considering our lives are beyond our own control, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. All it takes is mindfulness and intention to remain happy even in the face of life’s obstacles and trials, which will result in a happier and more fulfilling life for you.
Here are some tips on how to remain happy:
1) Realize That Happiness Isn’t Always Up to You
Happiness is not always up to us, but it’s up to us whether or not we believe that. You must first accept that you can’t control everything, but the way you react to things is up to you.
Take a moment to think of those things in your life that make you happy. Maybe it’s your family, a pet or an errand that has made you happy lately. Whatever it is, take a moment to notice it and acknowledge the fact that happiness is something out of your control and yet it still exists in some form. We are all responsible for happiness and we can all choose to achieve it.
