How To Be More Productive
It’s a fact: the more you produce, the more you get paid. Yet, there are many habitual behaviors that prevent people from taking their success up a notch. Habits like procrastination and multi-tasking can take the excitement out of being productive in your own time if they’re done on a too frequent basis, but these six simple habits will help you become fully engaged when working for yourself or for your company. These habits make it easier to be productive while still enjoying what you’re doing.
1) Work on one thing at a time
No task is too small to complete and ignore other duties that come up in between working on different tasks. Working on a lot of different things at once is a total waste of time and effort, and it’s not good for your mood either. If you can’t work on one thing at a time, make sure that all the tasks you have to complete are finished before moving onto another task.
2) Say no when others offer to help
It’s not that you don’t appreciate it; it’s just that every minute spent working with someone else is increasing the odds of being less productive in your own time. The other person could be doing something better than what you’re doing.
