I am always feeling low. It is a struggle to get up from the bed every morning as I know, on some level, all I will do for the day is sit at my desk and stare out of my window.
My social life is dull and uninspiring; working and spending time with friends just doesn’t seem worth it when there are so many other things that could be done.
The point here isn’t to tell you what you should do if you are feeling like this, that’s not my place but to share some tips on how to feel better, whether an episode lasts a few hours or a few weeks. Here are a few things to keep in mind
1. Comfort yourself
If you want to feel better, the first thing you need is to make yourself happy. You need to take the time to indulge and relax with all of your thoughts and emotions. When you are really stressed and anxious, it is all too easy to use the time when these feelings are at their peak as a time in which you “manage” your stress rather than just deal with them.
However, if everything in your life is going well, it can also be tempting to sit around complaining and feeling sorry for yourself rather than actually do something happy.
Be healthy, eat healthily, listen to music you like, spend time with friends and family, read and enjoy yourself. Remember that…
