We all have our habits, whether eating healthy, going to the gym, or sticking with a routine. These 15 tips will help you master them and stick with them to see your goals realized. After all, there are many benefits of being on top of your game more energy and less stress form a strong foundation that makes it easier to stick with other habits too.

1) Mirror your habits in real life to be realistic about how people react to you.

Dunking into the deep end of a swimming pool is one of our habits, and it’s something we’ve been doing since early childhood. It’s comfortable and easy, but in reality, the pool is not that deep, it’s too shallow to dunk into.

When we look at other people, though, they believe they’re in the deep end of the pool.

They copy us when they’re unaware of their shallow nature by taking on our negative habits as well (like being overly aggressive) as if they were defending themselves because we have one that’s so much worse.

This pattern is what we call “flattery”. Flattery is all about providing positive feedback rather than constructive criticism, and it’s something people of the world are good at giving.
