Many individuals have been afflicted by separation anxiety on some level. Many factors can lead to illnesses and it is not always easy for people to figure them out. It is hard for individuals with separation anxiety to stay in one place, even if they are doing so requested by friends or loved ones.

There are various signs that can show that a person has a separation anxiety disorder: (1) avoiding eye contact; (2) avoiding physical contact; (3) feeling anxious while alone; and many more.

Know these symptoms to spot your own way of dealing with this illness as well as how you feel when you’re around others who may be struggling too, which may help them gain more insight on their problem as well.

1) Avoiding eye contact.

The first one is a simple act but it can be very important in these cases. It helps the person to feel more comfortable and let others understand that there is no need to worry about the person’s well-being.

The person with separation anxiety tries to avoid direct eye contact by looking downward or around. This often leads them to be less expressive, less connected, and even rude because the individual may not try as hard, as usual, to listen to their conversation partner.
