When you’re working at a company, it’s time for men to adapt, because women are becoming the dominant force in the workforce. And although any change has its challenges, women are proving that they can make it work for them.
These are 15 of the most important habits that every girl boss should implement. If you do these things, you’ll be more likely to succeed as a female leader . It will also give your female employees some confidence…and some extra motivation!
1. “Don’t take it personally.”
Your results matter more than your methods. Even if the criticism is a personal attack, take a deep breath and ask yourself if it has to do with your project or if it’s personal. Chances are it’s just about your product, not you. Expect that people will have an opinion and don’t get too defensive about your decisions. If you’re always learning from other people, you’ll retain their respect no matter what they say.
2. “Own up to your mistakes.”
There’s nothing wrong with saying “I messed up,” even when the consequences were bad (and even when others won’t accept this). Own up to your mistakes and learn from them. You should never allow yourself to be judged solely on the intention of your actions, but knowing what worked for you is always helpful.
