The first impression we make is important to our success in life. How a person looks, speaks, and carries themselves can have a serious effect on the impression they leave others with. First impressions are almost always lasting impressions unless you have a complete one-eighty moment. The way we usually judge somebody is through their body language and the impressions it gives to us about them as people.

In this blog post, I will be looking at 15 different common mistakes that scream “poor first impressions” and how you can avoid them so you don’t have to worry about things like being judged negatively by your body language before you even open your mouth to say something.

1. Lack of Confidence

A lack of confidence is a major cause of first impressions. If you come across as being unsure and uncertain, people are going to feel uncomfortable around you, and they’re going to see this as a negative aspect of your personality. A confident person is going to make others feel comfortable and at ease, whereas an unsure and nervous person is going to make others uncomfortable, which will only lead to them forming a negative impression about you.

2. Not Knowing How To Carry Yourself
