You may be wondering what the distinction is between slow and simple life. Isn’t it the same thing? I mistakenly believed that slow and simple living were synonymous for a long time. As I dug deeper into the trends, I discovered that they have many similarities. The distinctions between them may help you better understand why you struggle in some aspects of purposeful living. Perhaps it will help you by providing more insight into what to focus on in your intentional journey.

Slow life and simple living have different definitions.

Slow living is a lifestyle that encourages mindfully doing less to have more time to focus on what is most important. Slow living frees up time to accomplish the things that bring you joy, ease, and alignment by eliminating or saying no to things, people, and projects that do not connect with your larger values. It’s more about taking the time to deliberate on how and where your time (your most asset) will be spent. This way of life likewise prioritizes sustainability and quality over quantity.
