Depression is an awful feeling. It’s like carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders all day, every day.

It’s crippling and exhausting to be in a position where you feel helpless and hopeless, where you can’t see any way out of the misery that has become your life.

Simple tasks are challenging, you have trouble sleeping, the simplest interactions with friends and family are moments of torture.

The most difficult part about depression is that there’s not always an easy way out.

Suffering from depression does not simply mean being stuck in a terrible place one day and magically being able to leap out of it the next.

Depression is a disease, and as such it requires real change if any real improvement is going to be made.
