10 Tricks to Help You Overcome Laziness

Most of us have been there at one point or another: you get home, stare at the television, and resist all urges to do anything besides watching an hour or two of Netflix. You just want to veg out on the couch with a beer and not move. Sound familiar? If it does, then this post is for you. Here are ten tricks that will help you overcome laziness so that you can finally start living your life again!

1) Write a shopping list.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but writing a list of exactly what you need before going to the store will really help you overcome laziness. Instead of being overwhelmed by the options when you get there, you’ll be able to pick out only the things you want without anxiety. Not having to think about what you need will make you actually go shopping, leaving your house with only that one thought in mind: getting yourself out of the house ASAP!

2) Say yes.

This is one of the hardest things for me personally because I really despise being asked to do anything. It’s hard enough as it is when a friend wants you to do something, but when an entire group of people are asking you to do something and you don’t want to do it? Well, you get the picture. The next time that happens to you, just say yes. You might even learn how much fun the activity in question actually is!
