Color has the power to make us happier, more creative, and more energized. It can also help us step into new worlds and experience things we’d otherwise miss. So it goes without saying that you should be using a lot of color in your life: on your walls, clothes, screens really anything you do. However, if you’re one of the people who has been battling with figuring out just how much color should be in their life or what colors they should try next it probably feels like an impossible task but don’t worry! We have some tips to get you started.
1. Start with a few colors you love.
It’s really hard to tell if a color will fit or not because of how many millions of colors there are and how different the experiences, moods, and activities from one person to another are.
You may have tried lots of interesting new colors over the past year and that is great! But try to think about what your style is before you start playing around with color combinations: maybe you love a certain sweater in blue but hate the color red because it always makes you feel on fire. Or maybe it’s the other way around.
Once you figure out what colors you love and are comfortable with, try a few around your home or office to get an idea of colors that might feel good.
