Countless articles and websites are dedicated to the benefits of quitting your job. It’s not a new concept, but it’s one that’s worth revisiting every now and then especially when you’re searching for a new opportunity.

We won’t rehash all the reasons that quitting is good here, but we will put together a list of 10 important principles from those articles. Let us know how you feel about these principles in the comments.

1. Left Over Stress

Countless people are stressed out at their jobs. From the boss who has them working long hours, to the co-workers that always seem to be complaining, to the customers that they just can’t please, leaving your job is a form of stress relief.

You can try returning to your previous position but there is no guarantee that you will be able to regain control or your position. If you’re stressed out at work because of these factors then it’s time to quit.

2. Unreasonable Demands

If you’re in an environment where you feel the need to put up with unreasonable demands and policies then quitting may be a good option for you.

Most employees can go along with their boss's demands because they fear what will happen if they don’t.
