10 HABITS FOR A MORE MINIMAL LIFE

It can be difficult to find simplicity when you have so much going on in your life. That’s why we’ve put together a list of 10 habits for a more minimal life. You may not need ikat hand-woven sarongs and artisanal chai, but they’re still worth the extra effort to manifest.

1. ONLY BUY THINGS YOU NEED

By this, I don’t mean you should only buy the bare minimum that you think you need to live. I mean that you should understand what you need, then do your best to limit yourself to those things. A good exercise for this is to ask yourself why you need something. If it’s not essential, don’t buy it.

2. HAVE A LOYALTY PROGRAM FOR YOUR PURCHASES

If you’ve bought something online, it’s important to be able to return it if you don’t like it. If you shop at a huge department store, they will likely issue a full cash refund if you take the item back within seven days. Use that to your advantage and keep things simple by not buying things you can’t return.

3. GET ALL THE CUTE POSTERS FOR YOUR BEDROOM

You probably didn’t know this about me, but I love the Ikea Kallax unit for my bedroom. I have all these cute posters on it and my room looks so much cozier than the minimalist white walls I had…
